Taggies

Tags on baby stuff are very popular. Babies seem to enjoy chewing on them and rubbing them on their faces. Taggies is a new company that makes baby toys with tons of tags to chew on. Really cute stuff as well.

Teething

My son has been teething for about 5 months now. Every so often we think that a tooth is going to appear but …nothing. Most of the babies that he was in the hospital with now have teeth.

So while we have no hardware, we definitely have symtoms. Lots of drool, chewing, ear pulling and crankiness. The bottom two teeth are supposed to arrive first, between 6 & 7 months. Next are the top two, also between 6 & 7 months. The incisors on both sides are next, with some molars between 10 & 14 months.

While I do wonder were his teeth are hiding, I know that they have to appear eventually. Could there be people out there that have never gotten their teeth? Nah!

Teething is blamed for everything that is wrong in a baby’s life. Every time he does something unusual someone will pipe up and say, “I bet he’s teething. Babies usually do _____ when they’re teething.” It makes you wonder how one event can be responsible for so many things. The New Parents Guide even says that diarrhea, coughing and runny nose can be caused by teething.

Every morning I stick my finger in his mouth and every morning he laughs at me because there is nothing there. One day I will stick my finger in to check and he is going to bite back. Then I will know he is getting closer to becoming an independent little man. He can’t stay a baby forever!

Women In Labour Crashes Car

A pregnant woman in labour, driving herself to the hospital, crashed her car and gave birth while trapped in the mangled, partially submerged vehicle, authorities said.

Just before he started his shift on Sunday, Deputy Stephen Maxwell noticed a person’s head poking out through some tall grass along a canal bank.

“As I looked around her I saw the newborn baby laying in the passenger seat with the placenta and umbilical cord still attached,” Maxwell said.

Maxwell and another deputy freed the woman and her baby. There had been a strong contraction that had caused her to loose control of the car.

This poor girl had not told her family she was pregnant. Her father figured that
she didn’t tell relatives about the pregnancy because she was afraid of their reaction.

The baby has been named Myracle and her family is welcoming the new edition with open arms.
