Mom of 3 Katie Price was ordered to pay her former nanny £4,000 compensation after firing her while being filmed for her reality show The Baby Diaries.
The incident was captured on film by a camera crew documenting the birth of Katie’s third child Princess Tiaamii, and viewers saw the model putting nanny Rebecca Gauld’s possessions into a bin bag on the reality show.
Rebecca, 25, was fired from her £250-a-week job during a fight over holiday time off.
According to The Sun, Rebecca told an employment tribunal: “I was very distressed by the events of the day – having lost my job and my home. The presence of the television cameras added to this distress.”
Rebecca was hired 18 months earlier by Jordan and husband Peter Andre, 34 to look after the couples two children Harvey, 5, and two-year-old Junior.
She admitted to signing a form consenting to being filmed but claimed she was told she would only be in the background.
The tribunal in Croydon, South London ruled she was unfairly dismissed. Lawyers for Katie admitted the firing was technically unlawful.
I guess having the cameras rolling all of the time is not always a good thing… Maybe the next nanny will have better luck.SOURCE
katie price does the best for her kids. the nanny should have been resonable and sorted out the holiday! £250 a week is a great earning and katie wouldn’t have humiliated her unless she thought it was best. people always want to see katie in a bad light when, shes a superb mother, a great model and a role model for marriage
