RECALL: Children’s Sketchbooks Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with eeBoo Corp today announced a voluntary recall of about 80,000 sketchbooks with colored spirals because the paint on the sketchbooks’ colored spiral metal bindings contains excessive levels of lead violating the federal lead paint standard.

The recalled children’s sketchbooks have colored spiral metal bindings, drawing paper, and cardboard covers in the following styles. “eeBoo” and the style name are printed on a sticker on the back cover.

Parents are being asked to contact eeBoo Corp. at (800) 791-5619 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.eeBoo.com to find out how you receive a free replacement book with a plain metal spine.

Australian Mom To Deliver IVF Baby At 54

An Australian woman will become what is thought to be the state’s oldest IVF mother when she delivers her baby later this year at age 54.

The woman, who has kept her identity secret, and her partner have used a donor egg for the procedure because IVF practitioners do not treat women over 45 with their own ovum, News Ltd reports. “It’s been a long time coming. We’re thrilled,” the woman said.


The woman considered the ethical questions of giving birth in her 50s, but said she and her partner were well placed to care for a child.


“”We figure if we can give the child 20 to 25 years of a loving home environment, a good education and a secure financial background, we’re doing better than a parent whose quality of life is poor,” she said.


“We are financially very secure and we have all the time in the world to look after the child.”

I personally don’t believe that being financially secure is a good reason to have a child so late in life.

At 33 years old, I could not imagine not having my parents around money or not.

Christina Aguilera Shows Off Post Pregnancy Body

Christina Aguilera was seen out last night for the first time since having baby Max looking curvy and fabulous.

She was out at the Best Buy in West Hollywood signing copies of her “Back To Basics: Live And Down Under” DVD set. Yesterday the new mom spoke to Ryan Seacrest about Max and how things are going.

Christina says she is “going a little stir crazy” at home even though she describes motherhood as “an incredible thing.”

“Every week something new happens… it’s constant changing and he’s constantly changing and doing different things and stinky things.”
