Congratulations to Farah Khan, choreographer/director and husband Shirish Kunder on the safe arrival of their first, second and third baby.
The couple welcomed triplets early this morning.
Speaking to UNI, her doctor Dr Feroza Parikh said ”Farah has delivered a son and two daughters by caesarean section at 0945 hrs this morning. We allowed her husband Shirish Kunder to be with her during the birth of the babies.” ”Everything went off normally and she is resting now. The babies are normal and healthy. The boy weighs 2.4 kg, her one daughter weighs 2.4 kg and other weighs 2.1 kgs,” Dr Parikh said.

As I am sitting here putting today’s posts together, I have a little wrinkly face looking up at me from the floor.
Our new family member has not yet figured out that ‘mommy’ cannot play every minute of the day and she is currently crying and barking for attention.
When we picked Molli up on Sunday at the breeders house she was timid, quiet and very subdued. Since that time she has come out her shell - to say the least.
It has been many years since we had a puppy in the house and I had forgotten how much work the little monkey’s are.
Even though she was house broken when she arrived, Miss Molli still needs to go out every 30 minutes. She eats 3 times a day and needs endless attention because everything in the house is apparently appetizing.
Many people we have talked to think were crazy for getting a puppy because of the amount of work needed to make them a productive member of the family.
Despite this we are thoroughly pleased with the benefits she comes with.
Our two year old is as pleased as punch with our decision to add a four legged member to the household. He runs around after her for hours laughing and playing. She lets him kiss her and pull her endless piles of skin in all direction. He lets her chew on his hair, toes and fingers.
Together, they are Mutt and Jeff, climbing the stairs and exploring all of the toys that have long been forgotten.
Even though I know that there is a lot of hard work ahead and maybe some less than productive afternoons, I don’t regret adding Molli to our family for one minute.
The comraderie that I have seen between her and our son is something that cannot be duplicated with a toy or even an afternoon at a friends house.

The joint security assessment cited recent female homicide bomber attacks in Baghdad — in which two women who appeared to have Down syndrome delivered a deadly explosion that killed 99 — as well as in Sri Lanka, Chechnya, India, Pakistan and the Palestinian territories as reason for the warning.”Female suicide bombers may have an advantage over their male counterparts in accessing targets,” the analysis cautioned. “The means to conduct a suicide attack vary widely, but a key element in maximizing the lethality of a suicide bombing is the bomber’s ability to get close to the target.”
The assessment also strongly warned that potential female homicide bombers could use “prosthetic devices that mimic the look of a pregnant woman.”
“Regardless of delivery by a man or a woman,” the warning reads, “improvised explosive devices may contain fragmentation or shrapnel, such as nails, bolts, glass fragments, marbles, ball bearings, or other small metal pieces.”

Isla Fisher bundles up daughter Olive on the set of her new movie Confessions of a Shopaholic in NYC.
The baby stays warm in the UGG Australia Shearling Baby Bunting Bag in Chestnut.
Isla, who is engaged to Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen Fisher, recently declared herself to be “the happiest I’ve ever been in my life”.
She has said: “You know, motherhood is my favourite topic in my personal life and I won’t shut up about it, but it’s not something I want to discuss publicly just because of the amount of attention it draws.”
I can’t wait to see Isla as Becky in Confessions of a Shopaholic. It is one of my favorite beach reads.

In December we reported on a Ugandan mom who had delivered a set of quintuplets. The four baby girls and one boy arrived weighing between 2 and 3 lbs.
Sadly, one of the little girls recently passed away forcing a doctor originally from Uganda to start a campaign to help the infants.
Because there are no incubators available the babies are being warmed by the kangaroo method, where they are made to lie on the mother’s abdomen.
“We met the mother in a tiny room with twin beds where she and a helper were ‘kangarooing’ the babies, nestling them on their bellies, under blankets, to keep them warm. We knew from the doctor that was showing us around the hospital that one of the girls died recently. The other four babies, according to the head of the ward, were doing OK, although their mother was having difficulty nursing them all, and she had run out of formula.” said Emily Bancroft, an alumna from the UW School of Public Health and Community Medicine.
The family still needs clothes, food and lots of support,” she said. “Although there are many babies all over the world that could use more food and more clothing, sending donations back to Uganda with Moses is one way that UW students can have a direct impact on one family that needs all the support they can get right now.”
I love that a graduate student is doing so much to make such a big difference to a family living on the other side of the world. It is amazing to hear that these little fighters are managing to overcome all of the odds despite the lack of modern medical equipment.
