The girls,who arrived in Krakow, Poland on Saturday, arrived via caesarean section in the 27th week of pregnancy, each weigh just 800 grams.

Alina Niedzwiedzka, spokesperson at the hospital in which the quintuplets were born, says that the girls would have to remain in hospital for a couple of months, as they have caught an infection. They are now being pharmacologically treated and kept in incubators.

What surprised doctors was the fact that the girls were conceived naturally. Multiple pregnancies are in the majority of cases a result of hormonal treatment. According to obstetricians, quintuplets are born once in 52 million pregnancies.

In Poland, however, since 2003, there were as many as four quintuplet births – much higher than the average.

Menu: white wine, lemonade, iced tea and coffee and an assortment of ice cream drinks; skewers of tiger shrimp and soft-pulled chicken; and for dessert, white and dark chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini donut varietals, mini custard tarts and mini eclairs.

Jessica reportedly received many presents, including high-end strollers, cradles and baskets full of Dr. Seuss books, rattles and clothes. There was a giant white stuffed bunny and lots of flower bouquets.

The party was catered by tastybaby, an organic baby food company. This is the same company that also catered Elisabeth Rohm’s shower last week.

All guests received a recyclable tote bag filled with baby food, recipes and toys.
