The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Munchkin today announced a voluntary recall of about 5,000 Deluxe Bottle and Food Warmers because the bottle and food warmers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Only warmers bearing lot number “TP-1487” are included in this recall.

Make Your Own Baby Wipes

While out looking for new cloth diapers yesterday I came across this product.

When dissolved in warm water, Wipe cubes make a natural gentle solution to pour over top of your re-usable cloths.

Eco conscious parents will love that they won’t be cluttering the world up with disposable wipes with the help of this solution.

These are the fast, frugal and fuss-free way to make wipes solution for your reusable wipes for your baby! Simply dissolve one cube in 500ml (2 cups) of warm water and pour over your wipes, or bottle it and use as needed. Made with natural, gentle ingredients, they’re kind to your baby’s delicate skin and kind to the environment.

The lady who owned the store suggested purchasing a 12pk of organic cloths that will fit perfectly inside my store bought wipes container to go with the solution.

The whole thing takes a bit of an upfront investment($1/per cloth), but the cloths will last forever and one container of cubes makes enough solution to last a lifetime.

Harlow Madden Makes Her Debut in Harper’s Bazaar

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden show off baby Harlow in this month’s edition of Harpers Bazaar.

The new mom reveals that she wants to have a whole team of children saying,

“I want five children, twin boys and three girls. I’ve wanted that since I was a little girl.”

On the night of the Grammys in February, just a few weeks after Harlow’s birth, the couple headed out and got a rough time from the press. Nicole said with a furrowed brow,

“I was gone for maybe three hours. I never go out. I go four or five days without leaving my house. But the press just went wild with it.”

Having Harlow has changed Nicole’s life.

She told Diane Sawyer in an interview last year that “I owe the baby my life,” and she seems full of new-mommy mojo. Gossip sites like Perez Hilton, which used to gleefully post her too-skinny bikini pictures and mug shot, now gush, “Nicole looks so pretty. Love her hair!”

Cynthia Rodriguez Talks Labor and Her Wimpy Husband

I don’t know about you, but I was impressed at how calm my husband stayed while our son was being born. No pacing, stressing and certainly no passing out.

Poor Cynthia Rodriguez wasn’t as lucky as me. Not only did her burly baseball star husband Alex, need more care than her, but he passed out in the middle of her labor.

“The one nurse had a cold cloth on his head. The other nurse had the blood pressure on his arm. And my mother was like rubbing his back. And he is passed out on a couch. And I am there, in the middle of labor,” Cynthia Rodriguez, wife of the New York Yankees star, said on an episode of the YES Network’s “YESterdays”.

“And really, I am not being paid much attention to besides the doctor and a couple of nurses,” she said. “And he is there moaning. In between pushing, I am going, ‘Honey, are you OK?’ and ‘Are you breathing? Are you OK?’”

“As tough and big as he seems, he is real wimpy around doctors or any type of medical situation,” Cynthia Rodriguez said, “I don’t know why I thought the birth of our child would be different. In the middle of the night, I realized that I needed to go to the hospital. I wake him up. The first thing that comes out of his mouth, ‘Can we call your mother?’

“A few hours later, I said, ‘I think you can call my mom now.’ Uh, and the color came back to his face when I told him he could call my mom.”

The couple welcomed their second daughter, Ella Alexander Rodriguez last month. The unlucky Yankee traveled from New York to Miami just to miss the birth by 10 minutes.
