The small gathering was attended by 25 of the model’s friends and family.

The couple expects their first baby this summer.

Jadan Brown was delivered last Wednesday on the floor of the plane’s galley at about 37,000 feet above northern Canada.

The new daddy Larry, a trained emergency medical worker, and a Korean surgeon who happened to be onboard a Korean Air Lines flight assisted with the birth of the less than 3 pound preemie.

“I really didn’t have time to think about what was happening,” Larry Brown told the hospital.

The baby was stabilized at a New York hospital after the plane landed, and was transported to Lourdes late Thursday.

Dr. Sherrilynn Parrish, an obstetrician at Lourdes, said Monday that the baby and mother are doing well.

“This is really remarkable — especially since the baby was so premature,” Parrish said.

What craziness! Could you imagine having to do the childbirth experience on the floor of an airplane kitchen with 300 people listening?

“She smiled for first time yesterday!” she gushed at The Second Annual Kidstock Music and Arts Festival in Beverly Hills. “It sounds so corny – and I remember my friends telling me and me being like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah,’ but it’s so special. Especially when you’re sleep deprived and all you do is change poopy diapers, it’s so great to get something in return.”

Always be on guard for smiles

“I was telling my husband before I left, you have to make sure to watch her all day, because she will give you the biggest smile when you least expect it.”

Giada is well known for her talents in the kitchen so it wasn’t a surprise that the new mom is going to be adding a baby/toddler section to her new cookbook.

“People have been asking me for years to come up with kids’ recipes and doing all that because I have a lot of kids that watch the show. And I’m thinking, ‘I’m not a mom, not my thing, leave that to the moms.’ And now, I’m so into it!”

But the one person who may not be as into it? Her husband: “[He’s] like, ‘No more puréed food, thank you very much!’” explained De Laurentiis. “Because I try all the recipes out on him first, so then we’ll see if Jade likes them.”
