Mutsy Introduces The Slider

Mutsy recently introduced a new mobility concept for parents who are looking for a product that is compact, light weight and sophisticated, yet sporty.

The new Slider stroller features a design that allows the entire upper part (bassinet or the seat) to be detached from the the frame folds up extremely small.

The easy release of the bassinet may also be handy for parents who have had a child fall asleep during a walk.

The large swivel wheels at the front provide maximum manoeuvrability in the city. When you reverse the push bar, the fixed rear wheels become the front wheels. This is handy when having to negotiate bumpy wood paths or cobblestone streets. The Slider has been fitted with modern single-spoke wheels, lightweight tires and brake pedals on either side.

Modern parents will appreciate the fresh colours that company uses on the canopy, boot and inside of the stroller. I personally love the ‘raspberry’ (they call it red) and the silver.

The Slider consists of 2 parts: the upper part, configured as a bassinet (sold separately), baby/toddler seat or travel system (using an adaptor for your Graco or Maxi Cosi car seat) and the base. The base can then be folded into a super compact frame by pressing the red button. The wheels can be removed with a single click to make the frame even more compact.

Stats:

  • weight: 29.1
  • weight without wheels: 21.2
  • unfolded frame: 28.3 x 25.6 x 41.3
  • folded frame: 28.3 x 25.6 x 13.0
  • folded frame without wheels: 28.3 x 20.0 x 6.5

Angelina Talks Sex During Pregnancy

I am loving the candid interviews that Angelina is giving while pregnant with her twins.

She recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly Magazine about some perks of being pregnant.

“It’s great for the sex life. It just makes you a lot more creative. So you have fun, and as a woman you’re just so round and full.”

How will the couple handle 6 kids:

“We really don’t know. His mom and dad are on standby to come out and help. And fortunately we can hire help if we need it, but we’re going to try as we usually do to balance it as well as we can.”

Jolie says the couple want to make sure their older children feel included after the babies are born.

“They’re old enough to feel included to change diapers themselves, to feed bottles themselves, like if I pump into a bottle. We’re trying to find ways where it can be a fun group thing,” she says.

How does the couple define their relationship?

“We have that problem all the time,” she says. “I say ‘partner’ sometimes. ‘Father of my children’ is too long. But half the time people refer to us as, ‘So, your wife this, your husband that.’ We’ve stopped correcting everybody.”’

7-Year-Old Tips The Scales At 220lbs

Romanian authorities have taken a seven-year-old boy weighing more than 100 kilogrammes (220 pounds) out of his parents custody so doctors can help him lose weight.

“We’ve taken charge of him for an unlimited period. He’ll be put on a regime of strict diet and physical exercise by doctors” in a special care centre, said a spokeswoman for the child protection agency in the county of Botosani.

The boy, who lived on mostly on bread and lard, was admitted to hospital two weeks ago suffering from respiratory and cardiovascular problems.

Let’s hope that his family continues his healthy diet once he is returned to their care.

RECALL:Children’s Merry-Go-Rounds Sold Exclusively at Toys R Us Due to Fall Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Pacific Cycle today announced a voluntary recall of about 15,000 Playsafe Spinning Quad Merry-Go-Rounds because the inner bearing on the merry-go-round can fail, causing the seat assembly to suddenly drop to the ground. This poses a fall hazard to children riding the merry-go-round.

Pacific Cycle has received one report of an injury involving the merry-go- round, which resulted in a fall and abrasions to a child.

The Playsafe Spinning Quad Merry-Go-Round has four yellow plastic seats and black and silver metal bars.

Consumers should immediately take the merry-go-round away from children and return it to Toys R Us for a full refund, or contact Pacific Cycle toll free at (877) 564-2261(8am-5pm m-f) or visit the firm’s Web site at www.pacific-cycle.com to receive a free retrofit kit.

3-Year-Old Travels 15 Miles Solo To Ride On Airplane

An adventurous Polish toddler traveled 15-miles to the airport on his own because his mom worked near the airport and ” he had always wanted to fly in one of the planes he had seen from her office.’

Three-year-old Mikolaj Sobolewski unlocked the front door of his parents’ home and got onto a bus from a stop outside their house to take him to Okecie airport in Warsaw.

He was only grounded when police spotted him in the departure lounge.

“His parents were very relieved to see him but there is no suggestion of negligence on their part.”

This is very scary. I don’t even want my son going off our lawn let alone boarding a bus and heading to the airport…

Didn’t the bus driver think it was odd he was unaccompanied?

Heidi Klum Is Not Done Having Babies

Sexy celeb mom Heidi Klum may have already have 3 kids, but she tells Redbook that she may want more.

“So many people say, ‘I am so done.’ That hasn’t come out of my mouth, and it hasn’t come out of Seal’s mouth either,” the Project Runway host, 35, tells Redbook magazine in its July 2008 issue. “I feel like we still have one coming.”

But having more children could only be a plus, considering their shared love of family helped Klum realize Seal was the one for her.

“We seemed to know from the get-go,” dishes the German-born supermodel. “Just with everything – the way he is. He’s very gentle and he wants to have a family and we like a lot of the same things. [It’s about] looking for someone to get old with and having fun and obviously being physically attractive to each other.

“As for life now, the model mom readily admits it’s “kind of perfect” with the “picket fence and the kids are playing in the garden? It’s kind of like that. The only thing missing is the dog.”

What’s not missing, obviously, is balance. “I have a normal life and I have this glamorous life, but to me it’s two different things. It’s not like I’m this glamour diva who hands everything over and I just sit on my throne at home,” she says. “When we’re home, we’re cooking and doing things with the kids, driving them to school. We do the things that everyone has to do.”
