The babies, three boys and three girls, were delivered by Caesarian section in a maternity hospital in the country’s capital, Tunis.

Five of the babies and the mother are in satisfactory condition, but the sixth child suffers from perinatal asphyxia.

Tunisia’s previous record was set by a 28-year-old woman from the central town of Kasserine, who gave birth to quintuplets in December 2007.

Multiple births overseas has been under scrutiny lately after it was been revealed the low prices of fertility treatments.

This allows low income families to conceive when there are issues, but also brings more children than these families can afford.

Use these guidelines, provided by the Nemours Foundation, to help select the safest tub for your baby:

• Look for tubs with a backing on the bottom, so it won’t slip or move.
• Choose a tub that is made with thick, sturdy plastic. Make sure it can easily support the weight of your baby and the bathing water.
• Don’t use any flotation device, bath ring or suction seat that doesn’t have a safety belt. These devices can turn over, posing a drowning hazard.
• Don’t use a foam cushion in the bath, as your baby may tear it and could swallow small pieces.
• Choose a tub with smooth edges.

I know that is must be connected to my pregnancy because I am a big ‘flosser’ and do so twice a day normally with no issues.

Apparently, pregnancy brings on a flood of hormone level changes (really? ha!) and this may cause your gums to bleed or become sensitive.

Higher than normal progesterone levels and your gums reacting more than they would usually would to the bacteria found in plaque can also increase your blood volume during your pregnancy. This means that you may experience bleeding gums when you brush or floss.

Bleeding or sensitive gums affects more than half of the pregnant women around the world.

Pregnant women can be more prone to gingivitis if they do not care for their teeth and gums correctly. This itself can then develop into periodontitis – which is a serious form of gum disease in which the infection goes beyond your gums into the bone and other tissue that support your teeth.

Studies have shown that women who suffer from either sever gingivitis or periodontitis are certainly more prone to preeclampsia and even to premature labor.

How can you prevent this?

• Brush thoroughly but gently at least twice a day
• Floss daily
• Get regular dental care
• Rinse with Antiseptic mouthwash such as Listerine
• Eat a healthy diet

A mother left her three young children home alone for two weeks to go on a belated ‘honeymoon’ with her unofficial ‘millionaire husband’.

Simten Sadiq, 33, was believed to be flying home from abroad tonight and is expected to be arrested by police on her return.

Her children aged 11, six and five were thought to have been left to fend for themselves in the freedom of their own house. The trio lived on a food stockpile left by their mother.

The kids were seen playing outside last week by a neighbour who contacted police after they didn’t see any adults around.

When detectives arrived at the three-bedroom house they found the children hiding under a bed. They were healthy and had apparently been well fed.

Simten is estranged from her husband. The couple have 4 children together, their oldest son lives with the husband. Looks like the other 3 will be joining their older brother!
