Mom Uses Viagra For Infertility and Conceives Twins!

Lately there has been a lot of stories about the other medical benefits of Viagra. Just this week we heard about Calvin Mutessa who uses ‘little blue pill’ to control a rare condition called pulmonary arterial hypertension.

The Dailymail has a great story about Yvonne Finlayson and husband Mark Ruston’s journey to have a baby. The couple struggled with infertility for years until they found the Sher Institute of Reproduction in Los Angeles.

The clinic, that had a good success rate with fertility treatment, suggested that Yvonne use Viagra to thicken her womb lining.

After trying many procedures, Yvonne and Mark, were willing to try anything, but they weren’t very hopeful that the treatment would work at all.

Ten days later, back in the UK, Mrs Finlayson discovered she was pregnant – with twins!

Doctors warned the couple that one of the twins was not likely to survive.

However, they both held on and were born at Wishaw General Hospital in Lanarkshire. Lewis weighed 6lb 1oz and Ava just 4lb 11oz.

Even though the couple had to sell their house to pay for the fertility treatment, which cost a staggering £23,000 in total, they say that it has been worth every penny to get their twins.
