A woman has spoken of her heartbreak at giving away her adopted son because she failed to connect with him.
Anita Tedaldi says she made the wrenching decision after 18-months of trying, and failing, to bond with ‘D’.
“I loved him and I cared deeply for him,” Tedaldi said on NBC’s Today Show.
“I tried to do the same exact thing I did with my biological children, but over time it became clear that our family maybe wasn’t a good match for him, that we were unable to meet some of his needs.”
Tedaldi adopted the child, who was found abandoned at the side of a road, when he was around one-year-old.
