All of Hollywood was out in full force last night to help raise money for a good cause! Mom-to-be Christina Applegate was among the celebrities who came out to lend her support to the Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser.
In August of 2008 the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her appearance at the event was especially important as she has been cancer free for over 2 years now!
Donations from the telecast will go to fund innovative cancer research. The first telethon, in 2008, helped raise more than $100 million. Everyday, there are over 1,500 cancer related deaths in America, with a total of 8 million people succumbing to it, this year alone.
