Marleny Martinez-Amaya, 20, and Enrique Ramirez, 28, have been charged with child abuse and neglect after their 5-month-old infant was found in a car while they were at a bar.
Both have been jailed with a bond set at $5,000 each.
Officers said the infant was found crying in a car with the windows rolled up and doors locked in a parking lot of a bar at 2:20 a.m. Sunday.
Police the infant had been in the car for more than three hours.
The baby has been placed in state custody. Reading this article shocked me because I won’t even run in to pay for gas with my son in the vehicle.In the past, I used to cover these stories extensively, but I found they were occurring every day and each on was more unbelievable than the previous.
