Congratulations to Laila Ali and husband Curtis Conway on the safe arrival of their first baby.
According to the star’s website, Curtis Muhammad Conway arrived on August 26th weighing 6.8 lbs., measuring 19 inches long.
“Although mom and baby are both healthy and happy, there were some surprises during labor that altered Laila’s birth plan,” the statement said.
Laila had planned to have a home birth with possibly a watertub available.
