Good News in Brazil! The toddler that was admitted just before Christmas with more than 30 sewing needles in his body has been released from hospital.
After undergoing three surgeries to remove 26 sewing needles his ex-stepfather stuck into him, this little fighter is now well enough to go home into the care of his mother.
Doctors say the two-year-old still has five needles in his body. They also say that they don’t pose a danger to his health and may be removed in the future.
After the toddler was hospitalized his ex-stepfather said he stuck the needles into the child in an attempt to kill him without being discovered, all to spite his wife.
He, and his girlfriend have been formally accused of attempted murder.
