On January 16th celebrity parents descended on the Century Plaza in LA for the annual Boom Boom Room Gifting suite.
For the event, Britax was on hand to introduce them to their newest convertible car seat, the Britax Advocate CS Car Seat, which many, including Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Chad Lowe and Ali Landry, took home.
Unveiled last Spring, the Britax Advocate CS is a high weight capacity convertible car seat which introduces the revolutionary energy-managing Side Impact Cushion Technology, reducing incoming side impact crash energy by 50 percent by diverting crash forces away from the child.
The seat features the Britax tangle-free, five-point harness, a rear- and forward-facing recline, and accommodates children rear facing from 5 to 35 pounds and forward facing from at least one year old and 20 pounds up to 65 pounds. It is also equipped with Britax True Side Impact Protection, Versa-Tether®, HUGS™, premium LATCH connectors, and the Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator, which provides extra assurance when the harness is within range of appropriate snugness.
This technology is the first and only to:
- Absorb side impact crash forces before reaching the child, resulting in fewer head injuries.
- Feature robust air chambers that require up to 10 times more force to compress than competing technologies. This results in the transfer of significantly more crash force energy away from the child.
- Provide an energy-absorbing surface area along the full length of the seat, protecting the child’s head, neck and torso.
- Offer a soft, protective surface for the adjacent passenger in a side impact crash.
WIN IT!! Britax offered one (1) Growing Your Baby Reader the opportunity to win a Britax Advocate CS Car Seat.

We’ve been hunting for a great car seat for our son since he’s almost out of his current one and it’s been crazy but we found the Britax Advocate has everything we are looking for Side Impact Protection, No Re-thread Harness Adjustment (who wants to go through that more than once)and harness holders so you can put your child in the seat without fussing with the straps (like we do now with our Graco seat) among many other advantages. The Britax Advocate looks like a breath of fresh air in car seat technology. 🙂

I love my Britax car seat- I think it’s a Diplomat- but the better side-impact protection on this Advocate can’t be beat. Maybe for the next kid. . .

I love the fact that it has side impact protection AND the fact that you can keep the child rear facing until 35 pounds. my current seat only does 22, and since I’m expecting again, I need to get another seat anyways!
We are currently shopping for a carseat for my 6month old. She is really big for her age and will be out of the infant carrier before we know it. I love how the weight limits are so high and will last a child for a long time. I love Britax and love the side impact protection on this seat.
I love Britax carseats! We have the Marathon and I’ll never buy another brand. The side impact cushioning on the Advocate gives moms that extra reassurance and the latch system is by far the best I’ve seen. I would love to win the Advocate for baby #2!
I am very thrilled that this car seat absorbs pretty much most the force of a crash. That is very important to me. I will be having my first grandchild soon and his safety is my first concern. His parents and myself can not afford very much and winning a car seat that is as safe as the Britax car seat is would take alot of my concern away. I have a friend would had lost a child to head trauma from a car wreck even though she was strapped in a car seat. All the technology that you have came up in this wonderful car seat I think will safe a lot of childrens lives
I love that the HUGS system cushions the chest and reduces head movement if there’s an impact.
I love the fact that it has rear and forward Facing recline for child comfort and positioning. It seems like that would bu nice in case the little one was alseep.
It says it has high density comfort foam that provides an extra layer of padding to gently cushion the child. It sounds so cozy, I would love a seat like that for my little one!
That it has a infant body pillow for extra comfort

I’m definitely most excited about the safety features, especially the side impact protection. This is probably the safest carseat on the market!

I am excited about the Built-in Lock-Off(s) that “secure the vehicle seat belt so that the child seat does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.” Thanks for the chance!
