Britax To Introduce New Frontier 85 SICT (Side Impact Cushion Technology)

Britax is upgrading their popular Frontier 85 Car Seat to include Side Impact Cushion Technology, similar to the one on the Advocate 70 CS. The new seat, appropriately named Frontier 85 SICT($339), was designed for children aged 2+(25lbs, 30″ high) and just like the original seat it keeps your little one in 5-point until they are 85lbs.

The Side Impact Cushion Technology features energy-absorbing cushions on the exterior of the child seat to reduce side impact crash energy by 45% by diverting crash forces away from your child and providing extra protection for the adjacent passenger.

On top of the SICT, the new seat also has True Side Impact Protection, Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tether® and Harness Ultra Guard System (HUGS™).

The Frontier 85 SICT car seat will join the original Frontier 85 in Britax’s Combination Harness-2-Booster seat category. It is rumored to be available in early June.
