Chicco USA, Inc. is recalling nearly 31,000 MyFit Zip Air Harness and Booster child car seats after a safety compliance issue was identified. The seats may allow excessive chest movement in the event of a crash, posing an increased risk of injury to children.
The recall affects MyFit Zip Air child restraint systems (CRS) with model numbers 07079561970070 and 04079561190070. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the seats fail to meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 213, which regulates child restraint systems.
