Coddletime Introduces World’s First Borosilicate Glass Feeding Bottle

The BPA baby bottle issue has forced many bottle manufacturers to create bottles out of alternative materials.

In the last few months we have seen an increase in baby bottles made from glass, silicone and now an interesting material called Borosilicate Glass.

This lightweight glass is widely used in laboratory equipment. It is microwave/dishwasher safe and more economic to use than traditional glass because of durability.

To add to the safety, Coddletime has added an anti-slip silicone wrap that is transparent enough to allow you to see what is inside. Bottle and wrap will run you about $10.50

  • Wow, I love the way these bottles look. A new kind of glass, too? The price for this bottle is right, too – especially compared to some of the other high end bottles out there right now. I love that the silicone wrap is pretty transparent and comes with the bottle!

  • Thanks for the info. This Borosilicate glass is new to me, I’m glad that new alternatives are being explored, however.

  • Borosilicate glass is what Pyrex is made of, so it’s not really new to the market. However, it is the first time it’s been used for baby bottles.

  • Borosilicate baby bottles are not new. They have been making them in Europe for a long time. I have them sitting in front of me right now. There is a really cool new bottle I saw. Check out Drop-Guard’s bottle. Its shatterproof and contains the glass and liquid!!
