Angelia Tutt, a mom of now five, shared with Good Morning America her surprise and delight at discovering she was expecting twins again, after already having a 6-year-old daughter and 13-month-old twin sons. “I had dreams of pink bows and imagining another daughter,” she reminisced, “but when we found out it was twins again, I was in shock. Happy tears, of course.”

The odds of having twins are low, but for Tutt, twins run in the family. She comes from a lineage of twins, including her grandmother, great-grandmother, and her own mother, who also had two sets of twins.

On March 3, at Cone Health Women’s & Children’s Center at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, Tutt gave birth to her second set of fraternal twins, Kendrick and Kairo, via Cesarean section. Remarkably, the twins were cared for by a team that included other twins—a doctor, a nurse, and a respiratory therapist.

After a brief stay in the neonatal intensive care unit, both boys, weighing 5 pounds and 8 ounces, are now thriving at home. Tutt marvels at how well they’ve adapted, even in the chaos of a bustling household.

Despite the increased workload, Tutt is excited about the adventure of raising five children. “Having twins isn’t as daunting as it seems,” she assures. “It’s simply doing everything twice—but with double the joy.”
