According to police, an Arizona woman left her 10-month-old baby at home alone while she went to a casino to gamble with a friend early Saturday.
The girl was found crying and in a wet diaper by her grandparents, who live next door, police said.
Ada Schwartzmann, 33, was arrested when she came home shortly after police arrived at the home about 6 a.m. According to the police account, she left the house at about 1 a.m. to get cigarettes and gas, leaving her daughter at home asleep in a baby swing. She returned and then left again about 3:20 a.m. to go gambling. She was booked on suspicion of child abuse.
