Walt Disney once said, ‘It all started with a mouse.’ And with that very character, Disney’s partnership with Steiff was born.
In 1931, Steiff introduced the first version of Mickey Mouse, which quickly sold 30,000 units. Soon after, Minnie Mouse joined the collection, perfectly complementing Mickey with her classic design.

To celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary, Steiff created a special cotton velvet Mickey Mouse inspired by Disney’s iconic color palette. The monochrome platinum design with glitter elements serves as a stylish tribute to this milestone.
In addition, Steiff released a combination of Disney’s Mickey Mouse and a Steiff Teddy bear to mark the occasion. This charming duo symbolizes the natural partnership between Disney and Steiff, both known for their respective legacies in animation and Teddy bear creation.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit pays homage to Disney’s first character and the beginning of the Disney Company. With a striking resemblance to another famous Disney character, this unique masterpiece brings film history to life on the occasion of Disney’s Centenary.
