For those who simply cannot get enough of the magical world of Disney, the Disney Vacation Club(DVC) offers an exclusive timeshare program where members have the opportunity to experience their favorite Disney vacation destinations year after year.
Yesterday the newest edition to the DVC collection, The Villas, opened at Disneyland Hotel. The new tower features 344 thoughtfully themed guest rooms that offer modern comforts just steps away from the Disneyland Resort theme parks.
Senior Vice President Bill Diercksen of Disney Vacation Club said, “The Villas at Disneyland Hotel celebrates the remarkable legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ storytelling and the creative process behind bringing Disney characters to life. With imaginative details and spacious accommodations, this beautiful new tower is the perfect place for families to create magical vacation memories.”
This stunning 12-story tower is the 16th Disney Vacation Club property and the first dedicated Disney Vacation Club property at Disneyland Resort since 2009. It’s also the first new tower at Disneyland Hotel since 1979.
The Villas features a variety of themed accommodations, including duo studios, deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and multi-level grand villas. Each room celebrates the creativity of Disney films such as “The Jungle Book,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Princess and the Frog,” and “Fantasia.”
The official opening was marked by a fun-filled ceremony with remarks from Bill Diercksen and Dan Coleman, general manager of the Disneyland Hotel. Disney cast members and beloved characters were also present to join in the celebration. The lobby features a mural created by Disney Animation artist Lorelay Bové, known for her work on “The Princess and the Frog” and “Encanto.”
Walt Disney Imagineers took inspiration from the animators’ storytelling process to create distinctive accommodations that immerse guests in the magic of creativity. From color palettes based on animation stills to concept art, guests are transported into the world of Disney storytelling.
The newly imagined duo studios are perfect for two guests and feature “The Jungle Book” theme with a split bathroom and a queen-size bed that tucks away into the wall. Deluxe studios sleep up to four guests and celebrate “Sleeping Beauty” or “The Princess and the Frog” with a kitchenette, split bathroom, and two queen-size beds.
For larger families, there are one- and two-bedroom villas that sleep up to five and nine guests respectively. These villas include a full-size kitchen, spacious living areas, and themed murals inspired by “The Princess and the Frog” or “Fantasia.” The primary suite in the grand villas is inspired by “Bambi” and includes a full-size kitchen, dining area, fireplace, and outdoor balcony. On the second floor, there are two themed bedrooms inspired by “Frozen” and “Moana” with en-suite bathrooms.
Relax and play in the brand-new Palette Pool area, featuring a palette-shaped swimming pool and the Palm Breeze Bar for refreshing snacks and drinks. Let the kids cool off at the “Steamboat Willie” splash pad inspired by the classic short film, where they can join Mickey Mouse at the helm of a boat with waterfalls and fog effects.
