VIDEO: Featured Review ~ Peg Perego Book Cross Stroller

New for 2016, Peg Perego has expanded its popular Book collection to include an all-terrain stroller that can be used from birth to 55 lbs.

True to its name, this stroller features an easy-to-do fold, can be used in urban and suburban areas, and is a great option for parents who just want to have one stroller for all of their adventures. We had the opportunity to put the Book Cross stroller to the test, here is how it did!

Book Cross Video Review:

Out of the box, parents will need to pop the wheels on, add the canopy and snap on the shopping basket.  The installation takes about 15 minutes to do.

From birth parents can use the Book Cross with the seat in the flat lying position or with Peg Perego’s Primo Viaggio Infant seat(optional).  Like with Peg’s other strollers, the frame of the stroller acts as an adapter for the infant seat so parents don’t need to worry about lugging around additional accessories for docking their babies.

The seat on the Book Cross comes with a 3 position adjustable 5-point harness.  We love that the locking mechanism is a bit tight to prevent busy toddlers from escaping.

At the back the seat has an infinite recline to give your child comfort at any level.

In the most upright position kids get a great view of the world, when fully reclined, they can sleep comfortably.

As you child grows you can adjust the calf rest to two heights and the foot rest is made from a durable plastic with drain slots to allow water or sand to escape with getting in your shopping basket.

The Book Cross comes with a large 3 panel canopy that has a peek-a-boo window, and a large mesh panel at the back of the seat to allow for air flow through the stroller on hot days.

The shopping basket on this all-terrain stroller is both spacious and convenient with a spring loaded bar that can be pivoted up and down to allow easy access of your gear.  Designed to hold up to 11lbs, we were able to stuff a large diaper bag and also jackets, hats and mitts into in without having any issues of it dragging on the ground.

To accommodate parents of all heights, the Book Cross has a 4 position adjustable handlebar that also includes a hand control dynamic brake for easy breaking while you’re out.  I absolutely love the handbrake because it eliminates the need to fumble around looking for when the wheel lock is.  Having it at your fingertips also means you are able to stop the stroller on a dime.

One of my favorite features of this stroller, however, is the push.  Designed with 3 foam filled 10″ wheels, the Book Cross moves easily through the snow and over most uneven terrain.  This stroller pushes beautifully over uneven pavement, grass, gravel and snow.

To give you better control over uneven terrain, the Book Cross’ front wheels can be locked in the forward facing position.  On most strollers this is done by activating a switch on the top of the front wheel, but on this buggy the switch is conveniently located on the side of the stroller.

True to its name, the Book Cross folds up like a book.  All parents need to do is squeeze the lever under the back of the seat and the seat folds over and the stroller  frame locks.

There is also a frame lock to keep it all together and the whole units stands on its own.
