Canadian parents – If your child uses an UberBoost Inflatable Booster Car Seat, Health Canada advises you to stop using it immediately.
Health Canada recalled the UberBoost Inflatable Booster Car Seat, available in various colors, because it poses an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash. The product lacks Transport Canada’s National Safety Mark, meaning it has not been certified to meet the safety requirements of the ‘Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations.’
Using a seat without the National Safety Mark may also violate the law in your province or territory.
The affected booster seats can be identified by the following Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (ASINs): B07R6NVP770, B07RR7ZYGY, and B07RB2KRCS.
If you own one of these booster seats, Health Canada urges you to stop using it immediately and dispose of it safely to prevent further use. Health Canada is in contact with the foreign selling companies and advises consumers to cease use of the UberBoost Inflatable Booster Car Seat right away.
Amazon reports that 272 units of the affected product were sold in Canada. So far, there have been no reported incidents or injuries related to this product.
