Actress Hilary Duff has expanded her family once again, welcoming her fourth child and third with husband Matthew Koma. Their baby girl, Townes Meadow Bair, made her arrival on May 3, joyously announced by Hilary on Instagram.
In a sweet post, the new mom humorously speculated on the reason for the wait, suggesting her daughter was perfecting her adorable cheeks. She expressed her overwhelming happiness at finally holding her newborn and relishing every magical moment of the past five days.
Adding, “We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty.”

A series of photos show that the baby was born via a waterbirth possibly at Hilary and Matthew’s home.
The couple, already parents to daughters Banks (5) and Mae (2), as well as Hilary’s son Luca (11) from a previous relationship, shared their pregnancy news last December through a delightful family Christmas card. Despite keeping the pregnancy under wraps until then, Hilary has since delighted fans with updates on her growing bump.

In a recent interview with Shape, Hilary shared her desire to continue expanding their family, embracing the joys and challenges that come with parenthood.
“I just love watching my kids form into their own individual unique selves,” she says. “I love my loud household with mayhem and the craziness and all the love and all the dirt. I love [parenting] with my husband. I love feeling like hugs and cuddles can make everything better. I love the pressure of being like, ‘How the fuck are we going to make it through this day?’ And making it through the day and being like, ‘I don’t know how everyone is tucked in and fed and happy after all the things we’ve had to do today.’”
With another human in the mix Hilary and Matthew are about to get busier but it sounds like that’s ok by them. “I’m in my family making phase,” she says. “I built this and I wanted this and so I have to be here to enjoy the joyful and the painful and everything in between.”
