While at a therapy appointment for my son a couple of weeks ago, the therapist brought out a huge pirate ship to teach my son imaginative play.
He loved it so much, he spent the next hour removing the flags, hiding the men in the cellar, and having them walk the plank. It was a great way for us to teach him role-playing, inspire his imagination, and promote his physical and intellectual development.
That is when I realized that a pirate ship would be a great toy for any child – even those who don’t need therapy.
We have found 9 cool pirate ships that have a play age of between a year straight up to 8 years. There is something here for everyone!
