Excited parents Nicky Byrne and Georgina Ahern proudly hold their newborn twins, Rocco and Jay, while Georgina’s father, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, beams with joy.
After spending some extra time in the NICU, the twins are now finally able to join their parents at home. Born six weeks premature via caesarean on April 21st, Rocco and Jay are already bringing immense happiness to their family.
Nicky, at 28 years old, couldn’t contain his excitement as he shared his hopes for his sons to follow in his musical footsteps rather than pursue politics like their grandfather. “When Georgina was pregnant, I would serenade her, and now that the boys are here, I continue to sing to them,” reveals Nicky, who is eager for his own talent to be passed down to the duo.
The middle name Rocco carries a tribute to the Irish prime minister, Bertie, while Jay’s middle name, Nick, pays homage to Nicky’s father. “I have no doubt that Bertie will be an amazing babysitter for his two grandchildren. He is more than capable of taking care of them,” shares the boyband star, highlighting the close bond he shares with his famous father-in-law.
