Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian Barker and her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, recently shared their experience with a pregnancy complication that posed a threat to their unborn baby’s life. Both took to social media to express gratitude and relief after a “medical emergency” that required immediate attention.

In a heartfelt post accompanied by a touching black-and-white photo of their intertwined hands, Kourtney expressed her endless appreciation for the doctors who saved their baby’s life. She also thanked her husband for rushing to her side from tour, and her mother for providing support throughout the ordeal.

The expectant mother, who has had easy pregnancies in the past, admitted that she was unprepared for the fear and urgency of fetal surgery.

“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past,” she wrote. “I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”

Travis, on the other hand, shared a tweet praising the greatness of God and expressing gratitude for the successful surgery. He also thanked everyone for their support and assured fans that their tour would resume as scheduled.

God is great. I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well. I want to say thank you for all the support. Tour resumes Friday.

The couple’s announcement came after Blink-182 postponed their European tour following Travis’ urgent return to the United States for a family matter. More information about rescheduled tour dates will be provided in the near future.

This baby will be the fourth child for both Kourtney and Travis, who already have children from their previous relationships.
