The 5th installment in their Oasis-class ships, and the world’s largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean International’s Wonder of the Seas, arrived in the U.S. yesterday evening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Vacationers who are eager to get back to the ocean will love all of the incredible features RCL has packed onto this incredible vessel.
Highlights include zip lining, flow riding, the new wonder playscape, a Caribbean -inspired pool desk, 4 never seen before shows, and the Perfect Storm trio of waterslides.
Royal has also added an eighth neighborhood, named the Suite Neighborhood; new southern restaurant and bar The Mason Jar, serving up southern staples and new twists on classics for brunch, dinner, and the late-night.
Also on deck are signature Oasis-class experiences like The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea; the FlowRider surf simulator; rock-climbing walls; and the Central Park neighborhood lined with more than 20,000 real plants.
A noticeable upgrade is the glass backdrop on the ship’s aqua theater. Previous ships have had the canvas panels in this section.
Additionally, Royal has removed one of the FlowRiders and added a new play space for kids.
The ultimate vacation will first set sail on 7-night cruises to the Caribbean and Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, from Port Everglades, starting on March 4, 2022, before heading to Barcelona, Spain, and Rome to kick off summer vacations in the Mediterranean in May 2022. In November, Wonder returns to explore the tropical shores of the Caribbean and The Bahamas from its year-round home, Port Canaveral, Florida.
There is no denying that with the addition of all of the new features and experiences, the Wonder of the Seas will be the place to be for vacationing families.
