Authorities swiftly responded to the home on Riverside Drive around 12:44 a.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, deputies were alarmed to find the baby in an intoxicated state. Paramedics were called, and the baby was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The accused, 37-year-old Honesti De La Torre from Rialto, allegedly admitted to adding alcohol to the baby’s bottle while passing through the area. She claimed it was an attempt to soothe her crying child. The current condition of the baby remains unknown.

De La Torre now faces charges of child endangerment and has been booked into the West Valley Detention Center on a $60,000 bond. She is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
