It was a discovery that no one expected, but thanks to the quick work of some caring women a newborn is expected to live.
In a video posted on Liveleak, a group of passersby inspects the condition of a newborn, who was found discarded in a black plastic bag in the trash bin.
Once open the group realizes the baby is still alive and works to free the newborn so they can (presumably) transfer it to the hospital.
The tiny baby doesn’t cry but just waits as the woman carefully places it in a blanket. It is not until the baby is being moved from the bag that the woman realizes that it is still attached to its placenta, a fact that may have ultimately saved its life.
Not a lot is known about the heartbreaking video, which is thought to have been filmed in the Philippines.
In the beginning, they appear to discuss what to do, before putting on gloves to free the newborn. Two women work together to wrap the baby(and its placenta) in a blanket and whisk it away.
This isn’t the way that life should be started. We pray that authorities find a family that will love this baby every single day of the rest of its life.
