Families looking to cruise in 2025 will have another option to consider! Today Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a leading innovator in global cruise travel, introduced the all-new Norwegian Aqua, the first ship in the expanded Prima Plus Class. This next-generation ship will set sail in April 2025, offering exciting new experiences to vacationers for seven-day Caribbean itineraries departing from Port Canaveral, Fla.
Norwegian Aqua builds on the success of Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. With a 10 percent size and capacity increase from its sister ships, Norwegian Aqua will provide more outdoor space and the highest staffing levels of any new contemporary cruise ship. The ship spans 1,056 feet long, 156,300 gross tons, and can accommodate 3,571 guests at double occupancy.
An eye-catching feature of Norwegian Aqua is its hull art design, created by renowned artist Allison Hueman. Titled “Where the Sky Meets the Sea,” the design showcases colorful mashups of abstract and figurative representations of the sea and sky, ruled by ancient goddesses.
One of the ship’s highlights is the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide.
Guests can enjoy twists and turns as they slide down three stories around the ship’s funnel.
Another exciting addition is the Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a nightclub in the evening, featuring an interactive LED floor.
Norwegian Aqua also offers luxurious accommodations in The Haven by Norwegian, including the first-ever Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites. These spacious suites come with separate living and dining areas, three bathrooms, a sprawling balcony, and three bedrooms.
Guests staying in The Haven will have access to an expansive sundeck, infinity pool, spa, hot tubs, private lounge, and breathtaking sea views from every public space. They will also receive 24-hour butler service and a dedicated concierge team.
Solo travelers can enjoy NCL’s signature Studio staterooms, designed with the solo traveler in mind and featuring private keycard access to a dedicated Studio Lounge. Families will appreciate the return of NCL’s popular Splash Academy for children ages three to 12, as well as the dedicated teen club, Entourage, for adolescents aged 13 to 17.
Guests can relax and enjoy the ship’s infinity edge pool with expanded seating, as well as day beds available on the main pool deck. The expanded Vibe Beach Club offers an elevated and adults-only experience with more lounge seating.
The outdoor walkway, Ocean Boulevard, provides ample space for exploration and includes features like Oceanwalk, Infinity Beach, and La Terrazza, all offering stunning sea views.
