Norwegian Joy Cabin Tour: Exploring Cabin 13952 – VIDEO

*Please note this post is not sponsored.  We paid for our accommodation.  Our opinions are our own.*

We recently sailed on Norwegian Joy out of New York City to Bermuda.  This is our second time on this ship.  Our first stay was in Haven, NCL’s suite class space complete with a private pool, sundeck, and dedicated restaurant.   The ship itself offers a variety of cabins for all budgets, a long list of dining options, and beautiful destinations.

For this trip we were in Cabin 13952, which is located on Deck 13, mid-ship. This prime location offers easy access to many of the ship’s amenities, including dining options, entertainment venues, and the expansive pool deck. Being mid-ship, it also provides a smoother ride, which can be especially beneficial for those prone to seasickness.

As you step into cabin 13952, you’ll immediately notice the modern and sleek design that Norwegian Cruise Line is known for. The cabin is well-appointed, with tasteful decor that creates a relaxing ambiance.

Here’s a breakdown of the features:

Standard cruise cabins are known for not being very spacious, but we found this room to be laid out nicely. A sofa gives you a space to lounge after a day of exploring.

The large flat-screen TV is perfect for catching up on your favorite shows or watching a movie.  It can be viewed from both the couch and the bed.  Because we were travelling with our kids the couch was set as a bed with the bunk pulled down for our second son.

We like the beds on Norweigian.  In the past, we’ve found the beds on some ships to be firmer than we like or not as comfortable as we’re used to at home.  I slept well on this ship and enjoyed the linens, plush pillows, and a supportive mattress, which allowed us to wake up refreshed and ready for the day’s adventures. The bed can be configured as a queen or two twins, offering flexibility based on your needs.

There are USB ports conveniently located by the bed for easy device charging.

Our cabin had a good-sized closet, along with drawers, and shelves to stow away our belongings. There was also a safe for securing valuables.

One of the highlights of cabin 13952 is the private balcony.  This is our favorite way to start and end the day. The balcony is furnished with two lawn chairs and a small table, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening snacks.

The bathroom is well-designed, featuring a shower, vanity area, along with shower gel and a shampoo/conditioner combo that we’re seeing a lot of on most lines.

Our Cabin steward provided once daily cleaning, which ensured everything was always in order.

Whether you’re enjoying the view from your private balcony, relaxing in the spacious living area, or getting a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed, this cabin serves as a nice retreat during your cruise.
