Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are now the proud parents of two! On September 22, the couple announced on Instagram that they had welcomed a baby girl, Méi June Mulaney, via surrogate. The joyful news came just months after the pair tied the knot in July.
In a series of heartwarming photos, the first showed little Méi peacefully sleeping, while another captured Munn cradling her newborn daughter. The final image featured Mulaney standing by the ocean, holding Méi as Munn crouched beside him, kissing their two-year-old son, Malcolm Hi?p, on the cheek.
“Méi June Mulaney was born on September 14, 2024, in the year of the dragon,” Munn shared in the post’s caption, expressing her feelings about the surrogacy journey. “I experienced so many deep emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. But when I met our gestational surrogate, we connected as mothers. Her grace and compassion made me realize I had found a true angel.”
Munn continued by expressing her gratitude, saying that the surrogate had made their dream of expanding their family a reality. “I can’t fully put into words how thankful I am,” she added. “I’m so proud of my little plum, my little dragon, for making her way to us. My heart is overflowing with love.”
She also revealed the meaning behind their daughter’s name, Méi, which is pronounced “May” and translates to “plum” in Chinese.
John Mulaney also shared his excitement on Instagram, posting a lighthearted video of him patting baby Méi on the back as she adorably spit up on his shoulder. “We took so many things from the hospital,” he joked in the caption, before adding, “I love my little girl so much.”
The couple, who are also parents to their two-year-old son Malcolm, shared this beautiful milestone with their followers, marking the beginning of life as a family of four.
