In the Spring, like every mom, I pull out all our Summer shoes to inspect and check which ones will stay and which ones will be passed on.
Last January(2013) when we got our pediped flex Delmar shoes I chose a size that was a bit bigger than what we needed in hopes that they would last longer. We were heading to the Caribbean for a vacation and I needed something the would double as water shoes, and sandals – and they fit the bill.
My guys wore them for that vacation, all last Summer hiking, on day trips, and into the Fall for school and during our cruise in November. At that point, I was pretty sure that a Winter growth spurt would leave them too small, but was pleasantly surprised when they fit still in April.
It wasn’t until last week when I took a good look at them that I realized how well they’re still doing. My boys are not, by any stretch, good to their things – especially their shoes.
They trudge through the mud, blaze through streams, and hike any hill. I like pediped’s flex shoes for these days because they have a good tread and I’ve never had a problem with them slipping or falling.
But despite all of this the shoes still look brand new. This is likely due to the fact that they can easily be cleaned by just running them underwater and then just setting them out to dry.
Often as parents, we buy a product that doesn’t outlast our kid’s active lives. Most of the time the soles start to peel, the velcro starts to give out or holes become evident. Thankfully this hasn’t been the case with our pedis.
If you are looking for a pair of adventure shoes for your little boy or girl, I highly recommend looking at their collection. In fact quite a few of their popular styles are discounted right now(including our shoes in Red)!
I have also put together a video showing off our shoes!
