The moment the package arrived I knew pkboo was going to be special. A craft paper box with an adorable logo, a perfectly tied ribbon and tissue held one of the nicest bibs I have ever seen. This attention to detail is what sets pkboo apart from the more common mass-produced baby items.
I am in love with the patterns in pkboo’s Spring/Summer 2011 line-up. They are fresh and stylish and reminiscent of my grandparent’s lawn furniture cushions from my childhood – this is vintage inspiration at its best. The collection includes fabric options Lily, Poppy and Clover: bold flower and foliage prints that are sure to turn heads while being functional.
Pkboo offers bibs, changing pads, totes and burp cloths in each style so you can have a matching set of these unique items, or it might be fun to mix it up with say a Poppy tote and a Lily changing pad since they complement each other well. Whichever you choose, you and baby will be fashionable sporting pkboo`s handcrafted items.
The 100% cotton bib was almost too pretty to get dirty but the smooth material did a great job of repelling much of the mess and washed up beautifully. My son has a chubby neck and I like that it fit him comfortably and was long enough to cover right down to his lap.
Founders Pam Shiu and Kelley Carter’s philosophy is that functional can still be fashionable and that items made by hand are crafted with a sense of love, enthusiasm, and attention to detail and this surely shows in the products they have made.
Look forward to yet another impressive line-up of unique prints such as Peep, Chirp, and Hoot, whimsical designs featuring an array of feathered friends with the Fall 2011 collection.
