While visiting NYC before our cruise last week we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott on 40th street.
This hotel is centrally located in midtown and many of the popular sites in New York City are close by. The location we stayed at was 114 W 40th St, which is across the street from Bryant Park and at the edge of Times Square.
We booked a room with two double beds for our family of four. The room is compact at 220sqft, but it does come with a Mini fridge, complimentary Wireless Internet, Coffee/tea maker, and a 27″ flatscreen TV
A small washroom off the entrance had a tub/shower and everything we needed. Most NYC hotels are going to shower only so if you need a tub for your kids this is a good location.
We arrived just after noon and our room was ready. Thankfully. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. Every time we came and went he would wave to us and tell us to have a great day.
For parking, we found a location just one block down on 40th for 60USD for 24 hours.
If you are visiting NYC for a couple of days and are looking for a hotel close to the action I recommend this location. I will say that travel to NYC is very expensive right now and this was a pricy stay.
