VIDEO Room Tour – Hilton Garden Inn 33rd Street NYC

While in New York City a couple of weeks ago, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at 33rd and park Street.

Located in a more residential area of the city this hotel was well appointed for our one night stay.

Because there were just two of us we booked the King city view room. The plan was to fly home but after our flight was cancelled we scrambled to find a place to stay and the Hilton Garden Inn ticked all of the boxes and stayed within my extended budget. By the time we booked it was check in so we walked over and were in our room quickly.

Located on the 22nd floor our room was larger than the room we had been staying in at the DoubleTree.

The bathroom had a single sink, lit mirror and shower with great pressure(my son reported to me).

The hotel has a modern feel to it and this could be seen throughout our room as well with the barn door style doors on both the shower enclosure and the bathroom door.

The main room had a desk with ergonomic chair, flat screen TV and small couch at the end of the King bed.

A cabinet in the corner held the Keurig, microwave and small fridge.

Our room had a nice view of the skyline, which we enjoyed at night.

The hotel is located almost right beside the Empire State building. If you head towards Park Avenue and turn left you can get to Grand Central Station easily. Additionally there are some nice places to eat within walking distance.

We would definitely add this to the list of hotels we would consider when we come back to NYC as a family. They lobby was nice with a TV and sitting area. They also had coffee and tea you could grab if you needed a pick me up after a long day exploring the city.
