Marina is currently recovering in Ward 26, with all five of her newborns reported to be in good health. Her husband, Abdul Majid, who works in Malaysia, and other family members are supporting her. Nayan Babu, Marina’s uncle, explained that the family had initially prepared for the arrival of three babies, arranging five female attendants to assist at the hospital.

Marina began experiencing labor pains on Tuesday and was initially taken to Islamic Bank Medical College Hospital in Rajshahi. After consultations, doctors recommended transferring her to RMCH for the delivery. The surgery took place at 11 AM the following day, leading to the safe birth of the quintuplets. Word of the unique delivery spread quickly, and at least 15 relatives gathered to support the family.

Dr. Rokeya Khatun, head of RMCH’s Obstetrics and Gynecology department, shared that the babies’ weights range from 1 kg to 1.3 kg, with all currently in stable condition alongside their mother. This unexpected quintuple birth has drawn attention and support from the local community, as both Marina and her newborns continue to be cared for.
